Even if you love to read, you may not always find the time to enjoy a good book. Most days, schedules, social life and errands get in the way of relaxing. How can you still make sure you find time to read when your days are so jam packed? Follow these tips for squeezing in a page here and a chapter there.

1. Set aside a certain time every day when you’re going to read. If you have to schedule this time period into your day just like you do your kid’s soccer practice or your lunch break. Take 20 minutes in the morning, afternoon or evening and dedicate it just to reading.

2. Always carry a book with you. You’ll be surprised at how many opportunities there are to read when you always have a book handy. Instead of texting a friend or checking your e-mail for the tenth time, take out a book when you have a few minutes of downtime.

3. If you’ve been in a bit of a reading drought, pick up a book as soon as you have a free thirty minutes. As soon as you get into a book, you’ll want to read whenever you can and you’ll automatically find time for it.

If you enjoy reading on a regular basis, you can enjoy reading even more by having access to free books to read by using Google Books. Google Books is a service which is ideal for anyone who has a passion for reading but does not have access to local book stores or libraries in their own areas. If you want to use Google Books, there are plenty of benefits when doing so, including the ability to access thousands of titles that are completely free to read on.

When you use Google Books, you can also find books that are no longer published from decades ago to red. Didn’t catch that? This explains it. Using Google Books is based directly in your browser, so you do not have to download additional software. You can use Google Books to view the insides of some books, including the actual pages and photographs used in the books when the book was originally printed. You are able to quickly search for book titles by author or the book title itself to find books within a few seconds as opposed to browsing a library. If you have a Google account, you can save Google Books you find interesting to your account while also having quick access to purchase a real copy of the book if it is available for sale online.

Owning a bookstore is a time-honored profession but it’s falling along the wayside considering how many books are now available only online or on e-reader. If you’ve got your sights set on being a bookstore owner there are a few things you need to consider before going in to business:
Online or Offline: Or better yet, a combination of both? If you’re thinking about opening a bookstore you’ve got to think about having an online presence, too, where people can order over the web. Look into bank card processing as well for the store and for the website.
Vendor Relations: One key to managing a store is having great vendors so think about how you’re going to develop those relationships. Timeliness, courtesy, and bulk discounts all need to come into play when you’re ordering books.
Something Special: A local bookstore can’t compete with the big box stores on price, so think about what you’re going to offer that’s different. Is it service? Coffee shop? Out of print or rare books? You’ve got to have a selling point.

The world of e-books is expanding daily. For hundreds of years, book technology remained relatively unchanged. E-books and devices that allow people to read them have opened up opportunities for readers to enjoy their books in new and exciting ways. Book lovers download hundreds of books to their e-readers. It is convenient for them to have access to their entire library wherever they go. College students no longer need to carry heavy, expensive books. Many devices allow you to highlight sections, just like textbooks.

These e-Book applications allow readers to explore content in ways unique to them. Readers have a variety of options for viewing. They enlarge or shrink text as needed. Book covers and colors choices allow you to place a virtual bookmark on the pages. Enhanced applications include the ability for readers to view backgrounds, research characters and locations. These innovative apps have audio and video embedded. These links reference information that the reader may not have access to otherwise. Author background is a popular feature. It is almost like having a behind-the-scenes documentary added to your book. The reader has access to more information than what appears on the back cover of a bound book. All of these eBook Apps add to and enhance reader’s literary experience.

E-books come with two major advantages over paper books. The first advantage is the lower price which comes from lower cost to create copies and the second one is it uses less materials. Some books can be found for almost half the price in an e-book format as opposed to a regular paperback or hardcover book. While e-book readers can be costly, the amount of money saved in space and discounts will be worth it. There are several websites that share classics that have long lost their copyright for free and is perfectly legal. If you don’t want to dish out a hundred dollars for a device, you can also read e-books on computers and phones. Most tablets also have the option of reading e-books. E-books are the way of the literary future.

One of the great things about e-books is that you don’t have to go all the way to a store to buy one. Many have experienced the frustration of driving miles to a book store, only to find that the store didn’t have the book they wanted. And who wants to wait several days for a book to be shipped? Buying e-books is instant and easy.

The Apple iPad is a tablet computer that has been successfully marketed by the Apple Company. The Apple iPad first generation was first released in April, 2011 to great success with over 80 million units sold in the first month. The second generation iPad, or iPad 2 was released in March, 2011 and introduced to the world by Steve Jobs in what would be his last product release.

The iPad first generation was a great innovation that brought a new market segment into the media world. This helps explain it more. The current iPad 2 brought a handful of what is generally perceived in the industry as minor improvements or tweaks. The iPad 2 screen is 9.7 inches diagonal, just like the original. The processor power for the iPad 2 is an improved system, from a 1GHz A4 processor in the original iPad to a 1 GHz A5 dual-core processor. The larger processor allows for an additional 200 software applications and the ability to have iCloud. iCloud allows for sharing of files across land computers, the iPad, and iPhones and is the Apple replacement of a similar dated feature, Mobile Me. The iPad 2 improvements also include a choice or black or white, a rear camera for face time for video conferencing, a three direction gyroscope for gaming, and a slightly thinner and lighter unit. Memory storage for the iPad 2 is the same as the first generation iPad, the buyer has the choice of 16, 32, or 64 GB and connectivity choices of Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi 3G with now a choice of carriers AT&T or Verizon.

For the avid reader reader there are a number of excellent ebook iPad applications. The first is Apples own iBook where ebooks are ordered and appear on your ‘bookshelf’. The iBook has easy access to the iTunes ebook store. A top rated ebook application is Kindle for iPad. At Kindle, there is easy access to the Kindle ebook store that is powered by Amazon. Amazon has a greater selection and often at a lower pricepoint than iTunes, although it is always good to check each site prior to purchasing. Another ebook iPad app is Nook for iPad by Barnes & Noble. While Nook appears to have near the same functionality as iBook or Kindle.

Reading can be a hobby or a passion. Whether you’re filling in time, or can’t wait for that next new book by your favorite author to come out, reading is a way of life.

With the advent of the personal eReaders, and the significant drop in prices, readers have options that they never had before. And now that Smart Phones have readers integrated in them, the choices are even greater.

Never mind the ‘I like the feel of the pages and the smell of the paper’. You now have instant access to literally hundreds of thousands of titles…all for the downloading. Whether you buy them from an online concern, or check them out of your virtual online library, your opportunities to broaden your literary horizons have never been greater.

I have found more authors, been exposed to more genres, and read more diverse books over the few years that I’ve had my eReader than I had probably read over most of my adult life.

And, not only do I read one book; I generally am reading multiple books. One on my eBook reader, another on my Smart Phone, and perhaps a 3rd on my tablet.

And, as they become more mainstream, the prices will only continue to drop.

The electronic age has taken over the book department. It is more ecological and books can be downloaded onto eBooks in seconds. I own a Nook and this is the reader’s guide to Barnes and Noble’s Nook.

The Nook is the size of larger sized paperbacks. It weighs a bit more than a book with a cover added. Considering that it can hold approximately one thousand five hundred books, even the most voracious reader will be satisfied.

The back light is quite sufficient for night time reading. It holds a charge for at least ten days with the wireless capability turned off and only takes three and a half hours for a full charge. It is ready to use right out of the box. With the no additional charge Wi-Fi capability, your Nook can be registered at the store and start downloading books immediately.

The internet is faster than any computer. As long as there is a wireless network, you are connected. The Nook Color’s touchscreen is fantastic. It costs more, but worth it. The newest, less expensive version is black and white, with a touch screen and lighter weight. You cannot go wrong with a Barnes and Noble Nook.

eBooks are becoming more and more popular, with many new titles only being offered in this format. Amazon’s eReader, the Kindle, has been gaining in popularity. You can easily download books to your Kindle, which is slim enough to be brought wherever you go. This way you can have hundreds of books at your fingertips at all times.

It can take some getting used to reading books via the Amazon Kindle, but it has a lot of advantages. You can store many books, so you will always have another book available if you finish the one you were on. eBooks usually cost less than traditional printed ones, with some even being free, so you can be able to buy more eBooks.

The controls on the Kindle are very easy to use. All you do to go to the next page is swipe to the left. When you turn off your Kindle, your spot in the book is automatically saved.

The Amazon Kindle is an eReader that lets you read and store many eBooks. It is easy to use and this form of book is usually cheaper than traditional books. An Amazon Kindle is a great addition for any book enthusiast.

Today the ereader has pretty much taken over the industry, and has made the sale of paperback and hard bound books dwindle greatly. When deciding on which ereader is the right choice for you, you should make a check list of the important features to you, and what is critical and what would be just an extra luxury to have in the reader. Some of the top things to consider are: price, brand name, storage capacity, whether you want a color (or black and white reader), the size of the books you want to read, the size of the text, and the wireless capabilities of the ereader.

To many people price is the biggest factor; therefore the older models of Kindles and the sony ereader are good choices. For people interested in brand name, the kindle is the most known ereader, but the nook has become well known in the market as well. Depending on the other features which are important to you, and what is critical to have in the reader, you will go down the list you made to see which ereader comes closest to the list you made. The one that hits the most points on your list, is the right choice ereader for you.
